The Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO) is an international body composed of non-profit professional and non-governmental organizations devoted to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. APOSHO was established to contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents by discussing and exchanging experiences and knowledge, and new ideas about the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.

Although full membership is given to non-governmental organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, any occupational safety and health organizations, even in the regions other than the Asia-Pacific, can join the APOSHO as associate or affiliate members.

The 24th APOSHO Annual Conference held concurrently with the XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work will be a great opportunity for specialists in safety and health from all around the world including the Asia-Pacific region to share their own valuable experiences and technologies.
 
The 24th APOSHO Annual Conference aims to attract persons who are directly or indirectly dealing with safety and health at work:

  • Safety managers, safety engineers and occupational technicians
  • Health managers, Hygienists, Occupational health physicians and persons working in the field of occupational medicine
  • Labour inspectors and technical factory inspectors
  • Professors, instructors, trainers, and teachers in the field of education

The first APOSHO Annual Conference took place in Singapore in August 1985 by the suggestion of chairperson of the National Safety Council of Australia. It was called initially "the Coordinating Committee of Asia-Pacific National Safety Councils" and later in 1992 renamed as now at the 8th Annual Conference.
